At VASIA (Volunteer Guardian Advocates for Seniors), our mission is to ensure that vulnerable seniors and vulnerable adults in Johnson and Shelby counties experience the highest possible degree of independence, health, comfort and safety. Your generous support enables us to provide essential services, advocacy, and companionship to those who need it most.

VASIA Funding

VASIA receives grant funding from the Indiana Supreme Court of Adult Guardianship and relies on local county funding and donations. Fundraisers available with community partners.

Donate Securely Online

VASIA donations are accepted through the Johnson County Community Foundation and Blue River Community Foundation websites. Please select EXISTING FUND and specify VASIA when donating on the JCCF site. Please select VASIA of Shelby County Fund when donating on the BRCF site.

VASIA Birthdays

Through the generous partnership of Seniors Helping Seniors, Crumbl Cookie, and Linne's Bakery, VASIA clients receive a birthday celebration that includes a Crumbl Cookies assortment and a personalized birthday cake from Linne's Bakery, thoughtfully delivered by Seniors Helping Seniors. In addition, Hatti Lou Blooms provides beautiful bouquets that are delivered to each client multiple times throughout the year, adding an extra touch of joy and care.

VASIA Angel Tree

The VASIA Angel Tree is available from November 15 through December 15 and is located outside the VASIA office in the Johnson County Courthouse. Select an ornament from the tree, which includes a detailed wish list, and return the corresponding items to our office.

Our volunteer advocates thoughtfully wrap and deliver each gift to our nursing home clients, helping make the holiday season meaningful and bright.

AMAZON WISHLIST

Support our annual Angel Tree Initiative any time by donating new items of any size or color. Gifts are wrapped and delivered by our volunteers, helping our nursing home clients feel valued, supported, and connected to their community.

Items from this Wishlist are also used to celebrate client birthdays throughout the year, ensuring each individual feels recognized and appreciated on their special day.
